Jeanne Epstein, 94, of Albany, N. Y. passed with her daughter, Barbara, by her side June 10, 2017, after a brief illness. Jeanne was born in Brooklyn on September 15, 1922.
After retirement, Jeanne and her husband, Bernie, spent the winters in their Boca Raton home. Upon Bernie’s passing, Jeanne continued to reside in Albany and Boca Raton.
Jeanne worked for the Dept. of Audit & Control and the N. Y. S. Assembly for 25 years. Also, she was very involved with the local Democratic party and attended the 1968 National Democratic Convention in Chicago.
Jeanne lived life to the fullest and it was a good life. She enjoyed traveling, tennis and bowling, which she actively engaged in until her 80’s. Also, she enjoyed reading and needlepoint. Jeanne also loved to swim and did so up until recently
Jeanne was predeceased by her husband, Bernie, of 46 years. She leaves behind to cherish her memory a daughter, Barbara, son, David (Angel) and 2 grandsons, Joshua and Seth; also, the Freeman and Baugh families
The family will be present at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Ave, Albany commencing at 9:00 A. M.on Sunday, June 18, 2017 to greet friends and family and then proceed to the Hebrew Tailors’ Cemetery on Western Avenue in Guilderland for a 10:00 A. M. graveside service.
A period of mourning will be held at the Epstein residence at 224 Ormond St. on Sunday through Tuesday from 6:30 P. M. to 9:30 P.M.
