Ruth Rosen, former resident of Troy and Niskayuna, New York until 1979,
passed away on Wednesday evening, November 1, 2017. Ruth and her husband Ted Rosen, former Executive Director of The Daughters
Of Sarah Nursing Center, retired in San Diego, California.
While living in Niskayuna, Ruth served as the Executive Secretary for the Schenectady Jewish Federation and the Schenectady Jewish Community Center.
In San Diego, she worked part time as secretary for the San Diego Jewish Community Center and the San Diego Hebrew Home for the Aged.
As an aficionado of music and the arts, Ruth initiated and coordinated a community senior choir at the Jewish Family Services in San Diego.
In 2006, she moved to Seacrest Village, a Jewish retirement community in Encinitas. There, she actively assisted their Life Enrichment Department in organizing special music and art programs and events.
Ruth Rosen is survived by her daughter, Lynn Gross (David Gross) her son, James Rosen, her granddaughter Marissa Gross Yarm(Aaron Gross), and great granddaughter Zoe Yarm.
Her funeral will take place at the Greenwood Memorial Park & Mortuary in San Diego, California on Monday, November 6.
