Obituary of Marvin Silverman
Marvin Silverman, age 81 of Delray Beach, Florida, formerly of Albany died on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Delray Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Albany, Marvin was the son of the late Harry and Lillian Larner Silverman. He was a graduate of Albany High School and attended Boston University. He had been employed as operations manager for the former Ruth Outdoor Advertising from 1960-1980 and later was employed for 20 by the NYS Emergency Preparedness Group. Marvin moved to Florida in 2001. He was a member of the Independent Benevolent Society in Albany.
Marvin was married to Barbara Briskman Silverman until her passing in 2011, He was also predeceased by his son, Carl
Marvin is survived by his son, Alan Silverman of Plantation, Florida,grandchildren, Corey Silverman and Kalen Reddy a brother, Norman Silverman and his wife, Marcia of Naples, Florida. Uncle of Chad Kelman and his wife, Michelle, and their children, Lucas, Ben,and Alexa, Jonathon Kelman and his wife, Georgina and their children, Brandon, Jack and Cristian, Robyn and her husband, Blair Fuller and their dauthter Lilly . . Brother -in law of the late Joni Kelman and son in law of the late Leonard and Lillian Briskman. Step son in law of the late Ruth Briskman.
Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue in Albany on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at 12 noon.
