She graduated from Albany HS in 1951. Sylvia worked for various New York State agencies over her 34 year career and spent several years running the Rensselaer Train Station cafe. Once retired she centralized on spending time with her granddaughters and making frequent trips to the local grocery store chains almost daily. Wherever she went, whomever she encountered was greeted with a smile and filled in on her daily events. Sylvia loved to talk and gather information on anyone she came in contact with. Her quick wit and sense of humor were what she was well known for. Sylvia selflessly gave to everyone she loved and that included many. Whomever she became close to thought of her as their second mother. This made her loved by many. Her most recent passions were her granddaughters. She loved each and every one of them in her own unique way and would brag about them to anyone she came into contact with. This was the case up until she passed.
