Chauna E. Weinberg

Schenectady – Chauna Weinberg, 46, died unexpectedly at home on March 13, 2024. She was a 1995 graduate of Niskayuna High school. She then attended Bucknell University where she received a degree in accounting. After working for several years in New York City she returned to the Capital District where she spent two years doing graduate studies at SUNY Albany. She subsequently went to work as an administrative assistant.

Chauna was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Shirley and Irving Podrid; and her paternal grandparents, Tema and Bernard Weinberg.

Chauna is survived by her parents, Peter and Diana Weinberg; her sister, Alissa (Aaron) Sodickson; her brother, Benjamin Weinberg; nieces, Ava and Zoe Sodickson; nephew, Eli Sodickson; and dear friends, Jeff Davis and Gabs DeGiorgio.

Donations in Chauna’s memory may be made to The American Heart Association or to a charity of one’s choice.

Funeral services for Chauna will be held on Friday March 15th at 9:30 am at Congregation Gates of Heaven, 852 Ashmore St. in Schenectady. Burial will follow at Beit Olam Cemetery in Wayland, MA.
