Piermont - Robert Paone (Bob), age 77, a resident of Piermont, New York, died peacefully at home on March 14, 2024. He was born on February 20, 1947 to the late Emil and Carmela (Ambrosio) Paone on Staten Island, New York.
Bob proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he studied and trained to be a cinematographer, a profession he enjoyed for several decades. Among his many film credits, the years filming Woody Allen movies, from “The Purple Rose of Cairo”, “Manhattan” to “Hannah and Her Sisters”, were his most memorable.
Bob was the beloved husband of 44 years to the late Marlaine (Schneider) Paone. Their devotion to each other was palpable to everyone who knew them. They shared a beautiful life together, both having a passion for exploration and travel that took them around the world.
In addition to his late wife, Marlaine, Bob was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Sophie Werlick and brothers, Cosmo and Gerald Paone. His survivors include numerous nieces, nephews and their children, cousins and life-long friends. Bob was a good and honorable man who will be sorely missed.
Internment will be held on Monday, March 25th 12:30 p.m. at Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus, New Jersey.
